Question: About a year ago my Playstation 2 games stopped working. It keep sayin disc read error when i checked it out some more. However, when i put my old PlayStation games in there it works like it's nothing wrong with it. My PlayStation games are much older and messed up while My PlayStation 2 games are pretty clean, yet they still don't work. What does this mean? Is there a way to fix this myself, or another person can, or I need a new PlayStation 2?
Answer: As PS1 games are on CD and PS2 games are on DVD, it might have something to do with the drive, as the laser cannot read your PS2 games on DVD. If your PS2 is not easily fixable, you're probably better off getting a new console.
